Debut of Regal Princess

On May 11, 2014, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, the Siemgroup attended the presentation ceremony of the Regal Princess: the new flagship of Carnival Group is the largest cruise ship ever built by Fincantieri.
The Regal Princess boasts record numbers: it weighs 141,000 gross tons and it is 330 meters long. It can accommodate up to 4,200 passengers (5,600 including the crew) and it has 1,780 cabins
(81% with balconies).
The Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and the Fincantieri’s CEO Giuseppe Bono attended the event and, with their emotionally-charged speeches, they wanted to emphasize the role of excellence that Italy holds in the shipbuilding industry and the value of know-how of the workers who operate throughout the Italian peninsula.
